San Carlos Lagoon, or "La Charca" as the locals call it, is a beautiful lagoon surrounded by vegetation and vast rocky mountains. It spans 0.03 square kilometers, where many people practice fishing due to the presence of sardines and many other fish. There are no aquatic plants in the lake.
This lagoon is located in the community of La Laguna in the San Carlos district and has a temperature of 23ºC.
It is true that Panama offers tourism for all tastes, and for nature and mountain lovers, there is San Carlos Lagoon. Interestingly, this lagoon is not natural; it was created by humans on the slopes of Cerro Picachu. It is also worth noting that the lagoon has an unusual green color, and its surface reflects the surrounding mountains.
